Senate Bill 392 authorized the creation of community solar gardens, which would allow friends and neighbors to join together on a shared solar array to offset their electricity bills. The bill also included funding to help low-income users participate in the program. SB 392 would have filled a gap in our clean energy economy by opening up rooftop solar to apartment residents, small business owners and low-income Nevadans.
