Protecting the Swamp Cedars - Assembly Bill 171

This declares that it is the policy of this state to protect the Spring Valley population of Rocky Mountain junipers, known as “swamp cedars.” Swamp cedars hold significant spiritual and historical value for Indigenous communities that face threats from drought and over pumping of groundwater.
