Sandra Jauregui (D-Las Vegas) Assemblywoman Jauregui continues to be a strong advocate for Nevada’s wildlife and open spaces. This session, she brought forward legislation that will require developers to consider the impacts to wildlife and their habitat in development plans.
Sarah Peters (D-Reno) Assemblywoman Peters continues to work hard to advance critical environmental policies. This session, she sponsored legislation to protect Nevada’s precious water resources and hold mining companies accountable.
Jill Tolles (R-Reno) Assemblywoman Tolles has continued to be a key voice in the passage of bills that expand the use of renewable energy and protect our open spaces and played a role in getting priority legislation passed into law.
Assemblyman Howard Watts (D-Las Vegas) Assemblyman Watts has continued to be a conservation champion. This session, he sponsored several pro-conservation bills dealing with reducing pollution, advancing environmental justice, increasing energy efficiency, and protecting our public lands.
Senate
Chris Brooks (D-Las Vegas) Senator Chris Brooks has continued to lead the charge for renewable energy growth and action on climate change in the Nevada Legislature. He championed legislation that makes major investments in clean energy transmission, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and energy efficiency programs.
Fabian Donate (D-Las Vegas) As Chair of the Assembly Natural Resources Committee, Senator Donate prioritized legislation that would protect our outdoor spaces, including being a strong advocate for a bill that will preserve Nevada’s unique dark skies.
Pete Goicoechea (R-Eureka) Senator Goicoechea understands the importance of investing in our public lands and open spaces. He was a key voice in passing legislation that protects wildlife and their habitat and continues to be the authority on state water law.
