Howard Watts
This session, Assemblymember Watts sustained his legacy as an environmental champion, being one of six legislators to have a lifetime score of 100%. As chair of the Growth & Infrastructure Committee, as well as leading efforts on Solar-Powered Affordable Housing and other clean energy bills, he has made critical strides to protect Nevada’s environment.
Toby Yurek
As a member of the Growth & Infrastructure Committee, Assemblymember Yurek was a key voice for Nevada’s environment and played a crucial role in passing priority legislation into law. He also sponsored a bill to help protect our state’s wildlife by expanding guzzlers.
Senate:
Ira Hansen
Senator Hansen supported all of NCL’s priority bills, both in committee and during floor votes, and maintained an open-door policy to discuss topics that mattered to Nevadans. He also worked with tribal leaders to pass legislation dealing with water pollution incidents.
Rochelle Nguyen
Senator Nguyen continues to be a strong advocate for clean energy in Nevada. She sponsored legislation investing in programs that bring clean energy solutions to the Nevadans who need them most, and as chair, was instrumental in moving priority bills through the Growth & Infrastructure Committee.
Melanie Scheible
Senator Scheible worked tirelessly to advocate for conservation and environmental protections for all Nevadans this session. She sponsored a bill to ban plastic water bottle sales in the Lake Tahoe basin and led efforts to increase transparency on utility disconnections.
