This bill increases the state’s renewable portfolio standard (RPS) to require 50% renewable energy by 2030 and sets a goal of 100% carbon free energy by 2050, with appropriate step-ups between now and 2030. By increasing our RPS, we will create jobs in Nevada, reduce pollution and send a message that our state is a leader in the new clean energy economy.
