This bill makes it illegal for a person to bring any alternative livestock or members of the Cervidae family, or certain parts of these animals into the state. Many states are dealing with the impacts of diseases like Chronic Wasting Disease, which affects the Cervidae (deer) family. This provision in law is necessary to safeguard our important wildlife resources.
Sponsored by Senate Committee on Natural Resources (on behalf of the Department of Wildlife)
